Silent Retreat – Oct 2022
Navadarshanam is pleased to announce the 3-day Silent Retreat from Oct 27 – Oct 30, 2022. The retreat is being facilitated for the practice of Self Enquiry (Atma Vichara). To aid in this reflection and inward quest, participants will be required to completely de-link from all outer engagement for the duration of the retreat.
Participants will have to arrive on Thursday Oct 27th by 5pm for an introductory talk on the subject followed by 3 days of meditation and quietude. Participants will be able to leave after 3pm on Sunday Oct 30.
In order to create an ambiance that facilitates inner and outer quietude, participants will be requested to refrain from any verbal on non-verbal communication with one another or anyone else for the duration of the retreat. In fact participants will be guided to avoid any eye-contact with anyone for the duration of the retreat.
The retreat will include a few guided meditation sessions each day as well as some readings. Talks and guidance will revolve around the practice of Atma Vichara as expounded by Ramana Maharshi. Talks and guidance will be in English. Participants that are already following a specific meditation practice or spiritual path may join the retreat and make use of the ambiance to pursue their own practices as long as they adhere to the framework of Silence
