Public Transport
From Bangalore come to a nearby town of Anekal, which is well connected by bus from the Bangalore City and Market Bus Stands. Limited Volvo bus services are available between City Bus Station and Anekal.
From Anekal one could either take a Taxi (approx Rs 800), or an auto (Rs.250 approx) or take a bus or tempo. The route goes via the village of Gumalapuram, just across the border into TN. From Gumalapuram village, Navadarshanam is two km by a small road that goes through the hamlet of Ganganahally.
Driving from Bangalore:
- From Bangalore
- If you come from Central Bangalore on the Hosur road, stay on Hosur road until just after Narayana Hriduyalaya and at Chandapura make a right on to the Chandapura-To-Anekal road to get to Anekal
- If you come from South Bangalore on the Bannerghatta road, stay on Bannerghatta road up to the town of Jigani and then take the Jigani-To-Anekal road to get to Anekal.
- From Whitefield, take the Varathur road towards Sarjapur Road and at Dommasandra and make your way to Chandapura and proceed to Anekal
- If you are coming on the Nice Road, take it all the way to Hosur Road near Electronic City and then come to Chandapura and from there proceed to Anekal.
- Follow directions to the main Anekal Bus Stand
- At Anekal Bus Stand, continue on the Ankel-To-Thally road via Gumalapuram
- Cross the border into Tamil Nadu (forest check post)
- Pass through the village of Gumalapuram (approximately 8km from Anekal)
- 100 yards after passing the village of Gumalapuram, look for a sign post on the left side of the road that points towards Gangadevanapalli to the right – take this narrow road to the right
- Follow the narrow winding road into the hamlet of Ganganahalli where it turns sharp to the right and becomes a dirt road
- About quarter mile on the dirt road, after Ganganahalli/Gangadevanapalli, look for sign and gate to Navadarshanam on the right
Driving from Hosur
- Come on Krishnagiri-Hosur-Bangalore National Highway
- After Hosur, look for signs for town of Athibele – you will come to a tool booth on the Hosur road at Athibele
- After Athibele tool booth DO NOT go on the main Hosur road fly over – you have to keep left
- Immediately after toll booth at Athibele, keep left and take the left exit on to the ATHIBELE-TO-ANEKAL road
- Stay on this road as it winds past the town of Athibele
- You will come to a fork in the road, keep right towards ANEKAL
- Travel for about 12kms until you reach the town of Anekal (you will go past a railway tracks and level crossing)
- At Anekal, take the left and follow the road past the main Anekal Bus stand
- Follow directions to the main Anekal Bus Stand
- At Anekal Bus Stand, continue on the Ankel-To-Thally road via Gumalapuram
- Cross the border into Tamil Nadu (forest check post)
