Visit Us

Important: Please read the visitor guidelines below before filling out the Visitor Enquiry Form

We welcome visitors seeking to explore and share/ learn about sustainable alternatives and share an interest in the values and life-style of Navadarshanam. We discourage visitors who are looking merely for resort-like arrangements or picnic spots.

Please note that in order for us to plan our time with you and plan the food while ensuring there is no wastage, it is imperative that we know in advance as to the exact number of visitors. We will be unable to entertain visitors who come without prior notice.

Accommodation and Food:

We accommodate guests in our simple residences, with shared spaces, each having a different design and ambience. Food, bedding, blankets are provided to visitors.

Our community kitchen is vegan and no garlic, onion or dairy is used.  Our organic herbal tea will be available. We do not serve caffeinated beverages in the kitchen

Traditional, organic, wholesome, vegan food – mostly locally grown – is served in the community kitchen for residents and visitors.

Duration of stay

In order to make your visit meaningful and for us to get to know you – we suggest that you give yourself enough time for the visit – either an overnight stay or a full-day visit. This is especially true if you are coming for the first time. So, please avoid very short visits.

Charges for your visit/stay:

We do not have any fixed charges for visitors, please ask us or email us for bank transfer details at the end of your visit.

Navadarshanam is a not-for-profit organization that relies on contributions from visitors and from our workshop programs. These contributions are essential to ensure that we continue to function and sustain the place for posterity.

We do not  seek contributions from the government, corporates, villagers, students, rural workers etc., so our hope is that visitors from relatively affluent backgrounds will contribute sufficiently.

Getting to Navadarshanam

The roads leading to Navadarshanam are not well lit and the campus borders the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary –  we therefore recommend that visitors arrive here well before dark. Typically, the campus shuts down after dinner and we switch off all lights and retire by 7:30 pm.

Please make your travel plans keeping in mind that you need to reach the Navadarshanam campus by 6 pm. If that is not possible, plan your arrival for the next morning.

Write to us using the form below about your plans for a visit and look for a confirmation email from us:
